The Crown hotel is centrally situated
in probably the most picturesque village in Dumfries and Galloway.
The Crown sits a few yards from the waters edge overlooking Portpatrick’s
historic harbour. Many of our rooms offer a seaview, and on a clear
day you can see Belfast Lough and the Mountains of Mourne across
the Irish Sea.
Portpatrick still maintains itself as an unspoilt traditional
fishing village with a

shops, small Hotels and Bars.
There are many things to see and do
in and around Portpatrick.Golfing, fishing, walking and the abundance

Our nearest town is Stranraer (7 miles) where there are still a lot
of family run shops that offer that little something different. Stena
Line Ferries sail from Stranraer to Belfast. The Stena H.S.S offers
organised daytrips to Northern Ireland. A few miles round the coast
the P & O Cairnryan ferry sails to Larne
The Crown has a long-standing reputation for good food
and wine. We have a cosy lounge bar and outside seafront terrace
offering and extensive array of fine food. We also have a stunning
conservatory restaurant offering A la Carte dining. We are renowned
for our seafood (AA Awarded Seafood Pub of Scotland 2005). We take

We have twelve individual rooms at the Crown, many
with seaview. All our rooms are ensuite. Some rooms have large roll
top baths, and others have a bath/shower facility.
We have tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms and flat screen
televisions with over forty channels to view. Ironing facilities
and hairdryers are available free upon request. Did we mention room
12? That’s our honeymoon suite, a large room with sofa, coal fire,
large flat screen TV and stunning views across the harbour. Well
worth the surcharge of £10 per night (total not per person).
